During my internship with SoCal Eagles, my task was to create engaging short-form video content that could be used to promote the organization and connect with its audience on social media. I helped plan, film, and edit reels, using skills such as video editing, creativity, storytelling, and social media content creation. I focused on capturing moments that represented the energy and identity of SoCal Eagles while making the videos visually engaging and appropriate for social media. The finished reels provided SoCal Eagles with promotional content that could be shared with its audience. Through this experience, I learned how much planning and creativity goes into producing effective short-form content and gained more confidence in creating videos for a professional organization.

During my internship with SoCal Eagles, I attended events where my goal was to support the organization while capturing photos that documented the experience and could be used for future promotional content. I photographed activities, people, and important moments throughout the events while also assisting wherever I was needed. This experience allowed me to develop my photography, communication, observation, and teamwork skills while learning how to work in a fast-paced event environment. The photos I captured provided SoCal Eagles with visual content that could be used to highlight its events and activities. I learned how important it is to be prepared, adaptable, and attentive when creating content at live events because meaningful moments can happen quickly.

National Sports Holiday Research

During my internship with SoCal Eagles, my task was to research national holidays and observances related to sports that could be used as opportunities for future social media content and promotions. I researched different sports-related holidays and organized the information into a list that could help the organization plan relevant content throughout the year. This project required research, attention to detail, organization, and an understanding of how holidays and observances can be connected to an organization's social media strategy. The final list gave SoCal Eagles a resource they could reference when planning future content and identifying opportunities to engage their audience. Through this experience, I learned how research and organization can play an important role in content planning and how even smaller pieces of research can contribute to a larger social media strategy.
