This course explores communication strategies, social media writing, and digital tools for building professional relationships, while guiding students like me in creating the foundation of their e-portfolio.

Below are examples of the work I have done.

Content & Website Creation Tools

This project explores various content and website creation tools to evaluate their features, cost, accessibility, and ease of use.

I chose Canva for content creation and Wix for website building. Canva is easy to use, offers many templates, and has a convenient mobile app for designing anywhere. While Piktochart is great for infographics, Canva provides more versatility for different projects. For websites, I picked Wix because its drag-and-drop editor makes creating a professional site simple without coding. Although WordPress offers more advanced features, Wix feels faster and easier to use for my current needs. The activity enhanced my understanding of digital creation platforms and helped me identify tools best suited for professional content and web design.

Online Communication

This project highlights the importance of visual communication in today’s digital world through two creative pieces made with Adobe Creative Cloud Express—an Instagram Story tutorial and a short video on trends in online communication. The Instagram Story demonstrates best practices for designing engaging, informative social media content, while the video explores how brands can use online videos to connect with audiences, share their values, and build trust.

Understanding Brand Tone and Voice

This infographic compares the social media presence of two popular brands: Netflix and Disney+. It highlights how each one uses tone, values, visuals, and content style to express its identity and connect with its audience. It explores differences and similarities in areas such as target audience, brand values, content style, and tone of voice, from formal vs. casual to funny vs. serious. The graphic demonstrates how strategic communication choices shape the overall brand personality and influence audience engagement, offering insights into how tone and voice contribute to a brand’s success online.
